Launch of AlQaem Hawza Institute

IMAM Educational Director Sheikh Safdar Razi has recently launched the AlQaem Hawza Institute in Dearborn, Michigan. Students from all over the Great Lakes region have begun to attend the Islamic Higher Learning course with the eventual goal to graduate from the Institute with the equivalency of a Bachelors in Islamic Studies from seminary's in Najaf, Iraq and Qum, Iran.

AlQaem Institute, IMAM's Islamic Seminary Program, held an advanced month-long summer program for students from all over the United States in Dearborn, Michigan. Students were put through an extensive curriculum of seven core Islamic Hawza (seminary) courses taught by a team of dedicated, expert scholars from all across the nation.

A brand new pre-Howza(pre Islamic Higher Education Program) has opened, the only one of its kind locally. The Muslim Educational Howza and Dawa Institute (MEHDI) program opened its doors to students September 30, 2006, and has been going strong ever since. While most youth education programs teach children the basics of Islam, the aim of the MEHDI Program is to groom youngsters between the ages of seven and 14 for future advanced studies in the Al Qaem Institute--a Howza program led by Sheikh Safdar Razi--if they so wish to join later.
