Haj Aous Asfar visits Vancouver, B.C. on the Event of Eid al-Ghadir

I.M.A.M was invited to visit the Vancouver, B.C., Shia Muslim community on the Event of Eid al-Ghadir. Haj Aous Asfar, Director of Ascent TV at I.M.A.M, played a vital role in helping with the organization of the conference, as well as delivering the keynote speech. AIMA, the host organizaiton comprised of six Vancouver-area Islamic centers hosted the event with the direction of Sh. Ismail Al-Khaleeq. The Al-Zahra Islamic Center was full of attendees that were looking for words of guidance, and practical solutions to their everyday challenges as Muslims and followers of Ahlul Bayt (as) in the Vancouver area. Haj Aous Asfar delivered included words of guidance from the Marjaeyah to concentrate on the youth, to look for guidance from those supported by the offices of the Maraje', to teach the youth Arabic, and to know that the Marjaeyah knows about their challenges and is supporting them through prayer and providing practical solutions through Islamic jurisprudence and by dispatching its staff to help in conferences such as this one.
In addition, during the visit Haj Aous Asfar visited and delivered the closing words at the Friday youth group program at Al-Zahra Islamic Center. In addition, Haj Aous Asfar delivered the message of the Marjaeyah to the believers at Al-Kawthar Islamic Center. The main purpose of the trip was to help organize the annual Eid Al-Ghadeer Conference in Vancouver and deliver the keynote speech at that venue.
The community received the liaison office with open arms and hearts. A great deal of appreciation and respect was extended to the staff of the office and a true dedication to taking the advice of the Marjaeyah was shown. The Vancouver area has a pool of dedicated believers who are concerned about the development of their community. I.M.A.M., in turn, is dedicated to helping communities across North America by sending its staff of experts to help facilitate positive growth through collaborations between Centers, and among community members. |
